I really wasn't planning on getting a new bike for a bit, but when my LBS manager let me know what he would give me this for, I couldn't pass it up. Yeah, DiamondBack isn't a premium road bike name, but it rides very nicely in the few rides I have been out on. It's certainly smoother and stiffer than my all aluminum Bianchi Giro I have had since 99. I made a few changes, saddle, seatpost, forks, bar tape and I am considering a new stem, but want to get some more time in on it before I do much more. I have a 20mm spacer under the stem right now, but I believe I am going to take that down to a 10mm. Again, I just want to get a few miles in first.

Nice bike! I know some people thumb their noses at DBR, Schwinn, Iron Horse, etc. but in reality you could change the name decal and it'd be exactly the same bike sold by many other "premium" brands. It's a nice bike with quality components at a great price; how can you go wrong?

If you really want to mess with people, repaint it with "Centurion" decals :thumbsup:

My dealer had one I was looking at - looks like a lot of bike for the money. Their's had a white seat and bartape and looked pretty sweet

They are high, but I like the flat transition from the bars to the hoods. I have big hands and can still get the levers in the drops, so that's the way it is.
