Here's a semi-interesting list I found. A survey found that male fans of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi have seen them an average of 20 times, while women who confessed to liking Dirty Dancing tend to have watched it 15 times. I don't know about 20 times for the Star Wars films, but I've definitely seen them a lot (except for Jedi--Ewoks are the suxxor!).

The strange one is #9 for women: The Matrix. WTF? This doesn't even make the male list.

Call me old fashioned, but The Matrix seems too geeked out to appeal to women. If Keanu is the reason, then why not a better choice, like "Speed?" I can see that movie being far more appealing to women than The Matrix.

This list is BS. Where is Bridget Jones Diary, or the Titanic, which was one of the highest grossing films of all time! The women's list looks more like the films that they watched while with their husbands/ boyfriends.

It does not look like the list of what they would WANT to watch..

This has to be made up. Bladerunner #4? And no Indiana Jones???

Did they survey ten people for this list or what?

Logically, they must at least surveyed 20 people. 10 men, 10 women. It's a British paper, so maybe the Brits are not normal.

Really, you can watch Full Metal Jacket over and over?

Why not watch Platoon or Deer Hunter every week? You might actually turn yourself into a sociopath...

+eleventy to the bs call on this list. I'm a woman, and I've only seen 4.33 films on the chick's list. (1st of the lord of the rings trilogy gets the fraction) And other than Pretty Woman and Sound of Music, those aren't big repeat movies. What about Steel Magnolias, or as aforementioned, Love Actually?

btw - uzzie, Love Actually is a good pick-me-up movie. Not really a chick flick, and very well acted throughout. It does take place at Christmastime, though.

That's how I memorized all of Sgt Hartman's lines.

Or it could be that chicks like films that have chicks with guns. My wife loves chicks with guns movies, just as one example.

But it is the brits, who knows with that lot!
