Hi guys

(right now) I'm looking at buying a Cannondale Touring bike. I like both the T800 and T2000, but I find it hard to compare the two, geometrically wise. The two bikes use the same geometry chart, yet, from looking at the pictures, it would seem that the T2000 has a smaller fork rake than the T800. How much is the fork rake of the T800 Vs. the T2000 in reality

thanks,

The T2000 has a straight fork, the T800 a curved one. But both forks have the same 53mm (or 5.3cm) rake.

In the bicycle world, "rake" has nothing to do with fork curvature or fork angle. It's the distance between the extended centerline of the fork steerer and a parallel line drawn through the center of the fork dropout. Some people prefer the term "fork offset," which is less confusing because it doesn't imply an angle or slant.

There's no way to judge small differences in rake, or offset, from a photograph.
