"A cycle tour without a map is like new potatoes without the smell of mint."
I have often said that myself.
Great video! It made my day

I say it at least three times a day myself.

Reminded me of a bike ride I did in 2004.
I was staying in London and had posted on RBR seeking advice with respect to a ride. Some fellow RBRers came through with the idea that I should take the train out of London, ride and stop by a pub while riding. That's what I did. http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=8917&highlight=swindon Although we are fifty years removed from the time of the film, its basic point still makes sense. If you are in London and want to ride, take the train out to the countryside. The trains I took had racks for bikes in the car behind the engine and the railway personnel were very helpful.
There also was some great narration in the film. I will have to listen to it again for some of the nuggets. It is kind of like listening to Phil Liggett's broadcasting ancestor.

Exactly. We now know that 'bonk' was common usage in 1955.

I love how he said it too, "You need to eat something as you don't want a touch of the bonks." Funny.
