Yesterday was a long day. Started out in the north part of the island and rode threw the entire montain range, past Soller, and into Palma. Almost 5 hours, and 6,000 feet of climbing. Not too hard as most of the climbs top out around 2000 feet.

Met my wife at the hotel, quick shower, into the suit, and off to the reason for my trip. The big bash with the company big dogs. They went all out, big ceremony, dinner, and then some fancy disco....what is it with the Germans and discos? The day ended at 3:00 am with a jamon bocadillo at a sidewalk cafe...long day.

Here are some pictures of the ride, and some of the architecture of the event location....and of course my bocadillo Yum

PinkT - Is the last picture in your first set looking down into Puerto de Soller? If so, it is bigger than I remember in the past. Another few Kms and you passed near a house where I spent many good days.

Yes, that is Soller. It, like most things on the island has grown a bunch. Not sure if the tunnel was in when you were there last. I took the pass road of course, great hairpins.
