My wife put her Carradice Limpet panniers on her Pinarello for their maiden voyage. They attach to the front quick release skewer; have tight fitting velcro for the forks; and an arch shaped brace that goes over the wheel.

Rachel is an experienced rider and tourist and not an easy cyclist to please, so her opinion carries some weight with me. She was very enthusiastic after the ride because the bags were stable, quiet and didn't compromise her bike's handling. The panniers aren't very big, but will carry a few sets of riding clothes, a pair of shoes and some clothes to wear off the bike. With a large seat bag and/or a handlebar bag you could probably make credit card touring work.

On paper this looked to be the product in its class that we could find. After one trip it seems to work as well as it looked.

scroll down a while and you'll find them. We thought for < $100 they were worth a try. Peter White also has them but they cost a whole lot more. I took them off Rachel's bike last night and they aren't KlikFix easy to use, but the bags are typical Carradice quality and her enthusiasm for how well they work on the bike makes the few (literally) minutes it takes to get them on and off seem well worth it.

She was easily able to carry:
1 pair of running shoes - one shoe in each bag
2 cycling outfits - shorts and jerseys
1 rain jacket
arm and leg warmers
1 long sleeve silk undershirt
jeans
t-shirt
nicer shirt
sox and underwear
eyeglasses + contact lens kit
toiletries
Her handlebar was almost empty except for her cue sheet so they really do look to me to hold enough to go from motel to motel by bike.

let's see a picture of it on her bike

have you out a review in the RBR review section? I recently added a pannier review and found there weren't any others on there! hard to believe in light of the experience on this board...

Never used computers for pictures, either.
