I've signed up for all 5 Women 3/4 races, July 21-25 (Greenbay, Sheboygan, Kenosha, etc)

Good luck to all who are participating!

Should we put our forum names on our helmets?? Would be great to meet fellow board-members.

Anne, now on a Moots SL, riding for Alberto's Sport.

I'll be spectating and possibly racing in some of them if I can get some miles on the bike. Men's cat5 or Master's40+. Blue Colnago ML with an 8-speed Shimano600 setup. Not sure about the name on the helmet, but I do have a mirror on mine :) . I'll be the guy getting lapped early in any races I enter this year, gotta be positive. I'm looking at Manitowoc, Waukesha, and maybe the Lakefront and Whitefish Bay races. With my lack of training the spectating aspect is looking real good about now.

Have a great race.

RACE!!!! Unless you fall over at the starting line (very common), you won't regret it. Much more exiting than any silly roller-coaster and no more exoensive.

And with a field of up to 160 riders I'll be invisible!
Unless I win, that would be cool, unlikely, but cool.

(Going home tonight to pick at the mirror glue....)

Keeping up with Junior

SuperWeek will be our father/son vacation this summer. One of the few times I am glad to be old. The Cat 4 road races are 40 miles and the Junior road races are 80 miles. We will get to race together in a couple of crits at the end of the first week. Maybe I can get my son to pull me around a few laps.

I will be going to the Alpine Valley Road Race in the Junior Cat. Its a little over 80 miles and it is all up hill for the most part. I do expect it to be plenty of fun but it will hurt.

I've been watching the results and wondering how your racing is going while following the results of another rider from the bike shop up here, I just realized your races start tomorrow. So, with that in mind, have a great race series.

Saw Anne's name on the results board of her first race in the series. Had concerns that the weather may have caused a cancellation. Looking forward to the race reports.

Race well.

I see you survived Superweek. It takes a lot of courage to come back day after day.
You should think about doing the Arlington Hts. race next weekend.

Thanks, Grumpy! It was very hard but very good. Had a small crash on the first day, came off on the second, finished in the field on the third, 'finished' the fourth day (way off the back), but ran out of gas on day five and bagged it after 15 laps or so. Am totally stoked to do Arlington Heights! It is one of my target races. Just have to rest up this week!

Another one to think about is the Winfield Crit on Aug 15. State Championship crit with a tough hill and a very fast downhill finish. ( You might need an 11 )
