Check out the cover of the new VeloNews of the Liquigas TTT at the Giro. Those two bikes in the front are not six13 slices. They're something new. And they're not super sixes either. I can only find head on photos online. Anyone have any info or know anything about them? Prototyping?

It's looking pretty fast under DiLuca right now.

I think this is less prototype, and more like finished product ready for release with the Super. I was hoping for a little more flash, especially considering what Specialized has done with the new Transition, but CDale looks for performance over fluff, while the Transition is already being criticized for placing a sloping top tube into the wind just for the sake of looks, so...

Two things are a bit disappointing. It looks like the carbon Slice keeps the '07 geometry - that's unfortunate for me as a dealer because this frame was much more attractive to Triathletes with a 78 degree seat angle, not just a seatpost which can make it that way. Second, the head tube is very wide, and while I understand it's more important to get the rider out of the wind than the bike, I'd prefer both. On the other hand, I bet the top tube/head tube junction is quite stiff, which is helpful with all the weight on the front of the bike when positioned properly - handling should be very good. Also, the head tube is very short, which makes getting riders low up front a lot easier.

The curved seat stays look great, and I'm sure help keep the ride comfortable, something a lot of tt/tri bikes have trouble doing. All-in-all, I'm betting this bike is very good - maybe LeBron can ride one onto the court when he's intro'd during a NBA Finals game. :-)
