I am getting ready to buy my first road bike and have narrowed it down to the trek 1200 or the LeMond Reno. I may increase my budget and step up one level to the 1500 or the Toumalet. The 1200 and the Reno both feel and ride very similar and appear to have the same mix of components. I am also told Trek makes both Trek and LeMond. The Bikes are virtually identical other than paint and frame geometry -- although they both feel the same to me. Can anyone offer other comparison points I should look at or experience with either bike?

and this one, you will find multiple threads on this very subject. I got a 1500 to have as a second bike road bike. For the money, it offers the best value by far. If you scan the Trek forum you will find lots of opinions on all of these bikes. Hope this helps.
