let's see, her HR experience was as 'student body President' yet she was hiring and firing people who had worked hard their whole lives/careers to find their places at the DOJ

she admitted that her using politics for hiring and firing 'crossed the line' (which meant broke the law)

she admitted Speedy wasn't so honest in his testimony

and Speedy's little visit to her was clearly obstruction of justice and witness tampering. Given Clinton was busted by many of the same Congress for the same charges on far less than what Vo5's little 'comforting visit' took place what choice do they have.

lastly watching the shrub complain aboput how this is being dragged out was hilarious. Gee George you don't think you dragging your feet, not releasing the requested docs or witnesses wouldn't have anything to do with it.

then his last 'we have an internal investigation that will get to the bottom of this'
does he think we've forgotten the internal investigation (the one that never happened) he launched in regards to the Plame leak?

The moment Goodling opened her mouth she confirmed everything I believed. She's a smurf who wasn't qualified to work at Wal-Mart much less the DOJ. I almost spit my coffee out my nose when she said being "student body president" qualified her to hire/fire USAs...

I wonder if her state bar assoc. will disbar her for knowingly breaking the civil service laws?

Hopefully, after this meltdown, future Regent grads won't be able to get the greeter position at Wal-Mart.

1 down, 149 to go.

I'm in DC this weekend. Haven't been here in over 10yrs. I was quite impressed with the WWII memorial...

Sorry the topic is too depressing for discussion. Man what happen to the DOJ? Bush, Rove, and Cheney have even made a mess of this department. It will take decades to repair the damage those idiots have done to our goverment..
