Going by the polls it looks like Bush's lap dog Johnny Howard will have his arse kicked in the forthcomming federal election and the government will be changed. Rudd the leader of the opposition has promised to bring our boys back from Iraq. Hopefully the American people do the right thing at your next election and get rid of Bush and his criminal cronies and then maybe just maybe the world can breathe easy again.

Even if no one shows up at the polls, I guarantee Bush won't win again.

Um, we already screwed that up twice. The only way to remedy the sitch is to impeach the bastids, but no one on the left or right has the backbone to stand up for the Constitution...

Spirito 05-28-2007, 08:44 PM you know it seems that a change of government is about to happen but I am wary and I have seen the tide turn on election day before both whilst I lived in the US and here in Oz. Elections and what makes sense are often 2 different things irrespective of what the polls may now show.
the howard govt. has shown before they are ready to win no matter how. I expect the same again. that scares me and makes me very mad.

Howard is a fighter and a survivor and I know he will be playing the 'terrorist threat / national security' scaremongering tactic (just like Bush has) to sway voters his way but surely anyone with a modicum of intelligence will see thru that. Ofcourse there will be the Rydsters of this world who will try and prove me wrong.

I never said Bush or Howard had the solution.
I am just saying that their departure would not change the strategic picture, nor will it appease those who wish to destroy democracy in the West.

Such as stuffing ballot boxes??!!
and makes me very mad.
Not getting your way is a price of democracy, and something that we as adults have to accept.
