Rudd the leader of the opposition has promised to bring our boys back from Iraq. you know it seems that a change of government is about to happen but I am wary and I have seen the tide turn on election day before both whilst I lived in the US and here in Oz. Elections and what makes sense are often 2 different things irrespective of what the polls may now show.

Howard is a fighter and a survivor and I know he will be playing the 'terrorist threat / national security' scaremongering tactic (just like Bush has) to sway voters his way but surely anyone with a modicum of intelligence will see thru that. I am just saying that their departure would not change the strategic picture, nor will it appease those who wish to destroy democracy in the West.
