So there was a case that just finished in Toronto that involved two young adults that were speeding excessively/racing on city streets that resulted in one of the drivers broadsiding a taxi and killing the taxi driver who was a well liked employee and was saving money to bring his family to Canada. The two racers who admitted to driving recklessly were charged with 12 months house arrest, they can only go to work and school and must get a ride from their parents, but they can leave between certain times with a note from their parents.
Thoughts on this?

If you recklessly endanger people with your car, you should lose the car, lose your license forever, and spend a little time in the pokey. If you kill someone doing it, you should spend a lot of time in the pokey. I can't see any reason for anything less than that.

"Well, son, see, now you're going to grow up and be dumb too...but at least you'll never want to see another set of bars in your lifetime."
