Where is the best deal on a HED 3 front wheel?

eBay...seriously. These wheels are practically indestructible, and you end up paying a fraction on eBay. Only way to get a discount is to go through your connection at LBS.

But are they worth it even at ebay (400-500/wheel) price?

just keep looking for days and weeks until you get the hang of it- and then hit the jackpot. after awhile you learn to determine whether or not the item is trustworthy by seller's rating, descriptiveness, and most importantly by asking the seller questions.


also look on craig's list- i found a great set of spinergy rev-x's. for $180. i dont think i can ever beat that deal anytime soon...

$1200 for a new set at your LBS or $500/each used on ebay, without a warranty? I would pay the $200 more and get a warranty.

My real recommendation is to join a team with sponsors. However, if you're decided on buying a set, act now- because HED is following Zipp and the prices are going up 20% in the next month or two.

Why are the prices doing up? General high energy costs?

If they think people will purchase Hed's over Zipps at near the same price, they are probably wrong. Then again, the chinese/taiwanese knockoffs will undoubtedly come soon leading to flamewars and price competition...
