There is a price difference of $1000 between the merlin extralight vs. merlin agilis. Difference in weight would be .4 lbs for a given size. Anybody has inputs on how the extralight ride vis a vis the agilis? I know the price and weight are relative to the pocketbook. If anybody can comment so I can decide. rider weight 150, rolling hill terrain and love fast downhills. Thanks..

It's all about the fit, which one fits you better. The fit is more important over weight or cost. A cheaper frame that doesn't fit you properly is not a bargain. You may not fit as well on the compact since it comes in fewer sizes. Hopefully there's a shop that you can try both bikes set up the same or similarly.
