Hey guys...I'm new to riding (well, been a LOT of years) and never ridden CO. I want to start training for the Durango to Silverton race next Spring and just got myself a road bike. Question, am I on my own in Monument, or is there a group who meets around here? Don't really want to travel all the way down to the park in the Springs...would rather keep it local, if not a bit North.

Both clubs from the Springs and from Denver often have rides starting from Castle Rock/Palmer Lake/Sedalia/Monument, etc. etc. I'd keep an eye on club rides and just be geographically selective until you find some folks you like. That's great country where you are, so you won't have trouble.
