The pic below in the thread on recumbents reminded me of a very fundamental question of order in the universe --
Must you have facial hair to BUY a recumbent, or must you GROW facial hair UPON buying a recumbent?
Check it out. Every last one of them has facial hair. Usually a full beard, but not always. Sometimes, like, a goatee or a Van Dyke or something.

It is a little know fact that when riding a recumbent the molecular structure of the sub atomic particles making up the frame modulus, through osmosis alone, congregate in the facial reqion. These particles, when acted up by the variences of solar radiation, gamma rays in particular, consequently bond to form a new hyper-modulus, facial hair. There you have it!

I believe God made everything. By the way, all the Pharisee's had beards, all bearded men ride bents, therefore (logically) all Pharisee's had bents.

Hope that answers your question.

It's not a matter of Cosmology, it's a matter of Anatomy.

Changing from the traditional "racing bike" to a 'bent has the unintended consequence of the loss of competitive edge (can't sprint, or climb hills) resulting in a rapid increase in surplus Testosterone which in turns cause a greatly accelerated rise the rate of facial hair growth. It's said, that in some cases the number of follicles actually increases by ten fold. Ultimately, newly minted 'bent riders discover that they cannot keep pace with the beard growth - in many cases shaving 5 or more times a day - and thus simply give up in favor of trimming the burgeoning growth. It's a true shame when it happens to women.

The Cosmology question is why the prediliction for tie-dyed t-shirts? Have they accessed the underlying universal mandala? Is the 'bent position more conducive to hooking into Gaia? If so, what do they know that we don't know?
