    race bike magazine

Hi guys, newbie here, been riding my road bike for about 2.5 years and following some of the tours the past 2 years. I'm looking for recommendations for good race magazines, ideally those with well-written articles on riders/rides/races and very few ads or review pieces. Something that caters specifically to road and track racing (no mountain bike, commuter, etc.). Thanks in advance!

Since race news is now all over the Internet, no cycling mag covers up to date race results. VeloNews covers a fair amount of mountain bike racing. CycleSport is pure road racing with lots of analysis of tactics, rider interviews, historical coverage, sponsorship news, team politics, etc.

+1 for ROAD. Beautiful magazine. Best of the 4 mentioned, IMO

My favorite is the Australian magazine called RIDE. It only comes out quarterly (once every 3 months), but it is well written with a combination of race coverage, rider profiles, historical articles, good feature articles, local (in Australia) club/ride profiles (which are actually cool to read), and the most extensive road bike testing/reviews.

I'm in America, so I also like the Cycle Sport America which is from the British Cycle Sport crew. As mentioned above they have good race coverage, one or two races where they detail the winning tactical moves, rider features/interviews, features on cool places to ride, and historical articles. Sometimes a little Brit-oriented and too cheeky/silly but usually good overall.

I wish there was an American magazine as in depth as the foreign ones. I feel VeloNews and Road are a little light in comparison.
