$7700 prototype! Unique!
This looks like it was designed by someone who has never rode a bicycle...can't imagine what the steering and handling must be like.
I'd bid ten bucks tops.
Pi Cycle # 1 unique 36volts Electric Bicycle One off Prototype cost over $12,000 | eBay
I would rather ride a recumbent.
With a flag. Wearing sandles.
Cycling should be fun. The rules are stupid. Ride because you love to ride. --QED
that thing hurts my eyes...
priced by the pound it doesn't seem so bad.
There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?
So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.
This is what putting disc brakes on road bikes has led to.
I hope that everyone is happy now.
Moose > Clydesdale
Riding around town on something that resembles a flacid weiner doesn't do it for me.
PI has been selling electric bikes for a few years now. If you want to pay a lot of money for an electric bike, these things are fast (40 mph). A lot of technology in their bikes but way over priced. They even have a Kenny Roberts model.

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
Too slow to be smart
Disc brakes, West Coast Chopper seat (and built by them!), internal cable routing, and a sweet custom paint job from a Ferrari shop. Who could forget, $1 shipping! Mine is in the mail.

Judging from where where the front axle is relative to the steering axis, it looks like it'd be pretty ordinary.

These guys are more like artists and tinkers. And I think there are more engineering that goes into the $8995 Kenny Roberts bike than there is in the Specialized McLaren Venge or Colnago C59 Disc. And those ones cost in the $17k - $18k range. What is so special about the McL Venge or C59 Disc that you can't do on a regular Venge or C59 anyway? absolutely nothing!. Yet I see guys oo'ing and aa'ing over those bikes like they're the 2nd coming.. ugh.. the traditional bicycle frame with 2 triangles joined together has been invented since when?? Well over a century ago, so where's the innovation there, other than material innovation (from steel to aluminum to carbon fiber)? Yet we always seem to be oo'ing and aa'ing at next year's model even thought they're basically the same bikes with a new paint schemes, lol... and "stiffness" improvement that means next to nothing without scientific instruments to measure the difference, then we pretend to make it like as if we can "feel" the difference, as if it's to justify to our own selves why paid such money for such hype.
If Pi Cycle decides to go carbon fiber, then it will open a whole new door of creativity for them because carbon fiber would allow them to make a million variations of the main aluminum arc tube. One arc tube to rule them all. No more worries about junction points.
It's really cool and refreshing to see people from the motorcycle world bring their minds into the cycling world. The disc brake was probably an idea ripped off from watching the motorcyle world. I'll bet the Pi Cycle guys are big time motorcyclists too. I think the cycling world is a bit of a snob when it comes to appreciating a completely different design. If it ain't 2 triangle joined together, it has to be laughed at. (Multi thousand dollar plastic bicycles made in China is also laughable, IMO, yet there are plenty of guys willing to throw down $3000 for one).
