1997 Giant Kronos value?
Its a 1998, NOT a 1997
Someone in the area is selling it for $175 but he said he put 3000 miles on it and never changed the chain. Im worried I will have to spend alot of money to fix that. I certianly dont want a chain snapping on me. Buying new cassette, chainrings, and chain can get expensive?
There is the information on this model.
Thanks for any advice you can give me.

3,000 miles on a 1997 bike is the equivilent of buying a 1997 car with 12,000 miles..
That is a very low mileage bike....
As for the chain, they cost less than $20....
So you think its worth the $$$? You think I can just change the chain out? I know you can't answer that without seeing it, but its in Very Good, condition. Bike was only $599 brand new.

Changing a chain requires nothing more than a $6 tool and a $20 chain.
I haven't changed the chain on my road bike in 5,000 miles and it, my cassette, and my chainrings all look great.
I think you should just buy the bike.
