    2011 Trek Madone 4.7 vs 2012 Trek Madone 4.6

Buying one of my first road bikes since college. I have a couple good options of an unused 2011 Madone 4.7 with 105 components for $2000 or a 2012 Madone 4.6 with SRAM for $2500. Wanted anyones opinion that is willing on the benefit (or not) of having SRAM instead of 105, as well the "upgrade" from a TCT carbon frame to the OCLV carbon frame.

    Thanks

SRAM vs. shimano is a personal preference.

The frames are the same, just a different naming convention for the 2012 models.

    Trek 4.6 or 4.7

I had to make the same decsion.....drmayer is correct...It is a personal preference in regards to componenets....I went with the 2012 Trek 4.6 because I liked the SRAM components better......I am glad I went with the SRAM...Good luck....

I actually ended up going with a 2012 4.7 for $3000. The value of upgrading to all Ultegra from the 2011 price made it worth it.
