    2018 New Releases

As is typical this time of year, lots of new bikes are being released. Which ones interest you or have at least caught your eye? Which do you view as mostly hype or complete garbage, lol? Finally, any yet to be released models you are still waiting for?

For me, when it comes to road bikes, I really love the new BMC Teammachine, but feel it is a little overpriced at the SLR01 level. I dig the SLR02 though. I also like the new Cervelo R5 and the updated Specialized Tarmac, but not as much as the other two.

On the gravel front, the new Diverge is my favorite new bike right now.

When it comes to aero, I am anxiously awaiting the release of the new Giant Propel. I have high hopes for that one. Outside of those, the other stuff doesn't excite me much.

More new models have hit the street, including a new lightweight and more affordable Trek Emonda, a new aero Giant Propel, a new Orbea Orca Aero, a new Neilpryde bike that blurs the line between two former lines apparently, and a new Merida Reacto.

Here's the new Giant Propel (I ended up with mixed feelings about this one):

Finally, here's the new Trek Emonda. I really like the pricing and the weight. It seems like a good value.

Wind tunnels, aero, and disc brakes have definitely been on a number of companies' minds this year:
