    Advice on BMC Road Bikes?

Hey guys, I'm new here, and I've been doing copious amounts of research on the BMC roadbikes, Team Machine, Race Machine and Road Racer and I just wanted to hear some other people's thoughts.

I was going to purchase this bike:

Is it worth it to use this as a beginner bike?

Am I better off saving a little bit more to get a Race Machine or Team Machine?

I want a road bike from BMC that I can race and ride for 100mile+ trips, and I want to make sure I'm getting the most for my money

    Thanks!

I have the Roadracer and I LOVE it! I bike on a fairly bumpy road and it does soak up those bumps, but when I hit a steep hill it responds like a dream. When I want to be aggressive and get up the speed on the flats, I go down on the drops and give her. I am a 51 year old female and find the geometry not too aggressive at all and have no fear of doing a century on it. I have had the some spacers put in to lift up the handlebars a bit.

It's not what I'd call a beginner bike....I suppose that's totally subjective but I think it's more than that.

Some beginners would grow into it after a couple rides, some never. Without knowing your fitness and objectives it's impossible to say if this would be a good bike for you or not. I'd definitely suggest test riding it or at least something with similar geometry.

It's definitely a quality bike at a very very good price.....but that alone doesn't make it a good bike for everyone. It's got a match your size, fitness and objectives.

Will this be your first road bike? What did you ride before?
Apologies if I am generalising here.

Was considering a SL01 about 1yr ago and ended up with something else with a bit more Ti in it.
