    Altamira 1.0

I picked this up a few weeks ago from Bikewagon as a 2012 demo. After 20% discount, it was about $1900 shipped. I made a few modifications including stem/seatpost/wheels/saddle.

    - Dura Ace
    - Blackset Race 13s in white
    - White carbon stem and seatpost
    - Rotor cranks
    - Fizik Kurve Chameleon
    - KMC chain
    - 15.44 lbs with heavy pedals. Should slide under 15 with a switch
    - White bar tape pending

I haven't seen a lot of yellow and white out there so this one's a little bit different. Forgive my hideous floors.

Very nice & a good deal as well. However you should always take pictures of the bike from the drive side. Interesting tire combo choice.

Good point, and also nice eye on the mismatched tires that I figured no one would notice. I bought 3 Pro Race 4s on closeout recently and plan on saving 2 of them for racing once February roles around. As for the crank blackout, I will be taking more pics under sunlight. This was just a teaser.

Honestly, I am surprised that more people didn't jump on that deal. It's well beyond what you would normally see, even for a "closeout". Especially the in demand Di2 stuff.... I don't know where else you can grab a bike like that for under 2k.

A teammate of mine up in Charlotte picked up a closeout Altamira w/Ultegra from Performance for a tick over $1600. She loves it.
    formerly "backinthesaddle"

    Strava is Latin for 'bench-racing"

It was definitely a chance I took as I had never seen an Altamira in person before making the purchase. Luckily, it all worked out, and it fits me like a charm. They are terrific bikes. I thought it might end up being my backup bike upon purchase, but I ended up liking it a lot more than my other rides in the end.

What's that Presta cover that looks like a little rimfire round?

I think I just picked those up on Ebay. A lot of different manufacturers make something similar though.
