    Bella Bellissima!!! *X-Post*

From the much-less trafficked Litespeed-Merlin forum.

Just Bought-it-Now on the e(vil)Bay! A 2005 Bella with 105 9 speed. I spoke with the seller before pulling trig, and he said his wife rode it for one summer in 2009 before finding a semi-permanent spot in the garage. By the looks of the pics, and from talking to the guy, I believe him.

Just to clarify, this is not for me. This one would fit my wife but she has a Titus Ti that she rides. So who is this for??? My wife's best friend in Seattle. She has been wanting a road bike for a little while now but didn't want to spend much money on one- limit was $600 or $700 (even though she does real well at Microsoft.)

I was perusing the Portland CL this weekend when I found a 2006 Bianchi Giro triple 10 spd 105 triple for $700. I mentioned it to her and she said to get it if I thought it was a good deal. After seeing it, I advised her against it. Then I saw this Bella and it was not much more than the Bianchi and mentioned it to her and to my surprise, she said "buy it if you think it is a good bike and deal". So it's on the way to PDX from Virgina! I'll put it together for her and tune it up. She will come down in 2 weeks and my wife and her will go for a nice ride. Hope the weather will cooperate. It is Portland after all.

    yes it is indeed Bella

I am fine, starting the season ( and reaaaallly out of shape )

Settling down now on the bike collectioning, I try to reduce the herd and settle on 4 ( C50, Dream, Cross bike, Commuter )

If you wish to travel lighter, you could sell some ther and buy some of mine ;)

Another Bella popped up on evilBay jsut today!

Almost the exact same bike. Same size, and components except it has an Ultegra rear derailleur and FSA Energy standard cranks. The one I got is 105 rear derailleur and Gossamer compact cranks. I am assuming the Energy is a slight upgrade to the Gossamer but I was specifically looking for a compact crankset for Sue since she is a newbie roadie. But both Bellas are in great condition. Funny how cheap they are selling for. Not a year and half ago, I "watched" a Bella frameset on ebay go for $1200! And that was just for the frameset that was the same size as these two.

I am almost tempted to buy the latest Bella that is on ebay so that my wife can have a foul weather bike! But if I did, I would have to find a Campy gruppo since I've converted the wife to Campy.

    *** Dang It!!!***
As I was about to include the ebay link, I noticed that it is SOLD!!!

I bet the person that bought it was also eyeing the one I got and didn't want to lose out on another opportunity that doesn't come along often. Shucks!!!

    It's all good.
