Canyon Roadlite 5.0 and Ultimate AL 7.0 opinions

I am a recreational rider who lives in Switzerland. I would like to purchase a new roadbike (I am riding a 1986 Peugeot Tourmalet now). Before I make the purchase I will travel to the Canyon factory store in Koblenz, Germany for a test ride, but I wanted to get some opinions before making the 5 hour trip.

Does anyone have any experience with ride quality/characteristics of the Roadlite aluminum frame. Would it be worth the extra 600 dollars to get the Ultimate AL frame, better wheels and components?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you are sold on the frame, I'd get the 5.0 and spend the extra money on wheels. The Mavic Askiums on the 7.0 and the FSA cranks don't warrant the extra cash. It can be better spent on a nice set of wheels (ebay).

Hi, I have a Canyon Ultimate AL 7.0i from 2007 (you can see the pictures in my gallery). The Quality is top. Do you speak German? It would be easier to explain, why it is not very useful, to test their bikes...
