Cervelo P3 racer from 2000 Thoughts?

Cervelo P3 racer from 2001 is this bike worth getting. The bike is 18 yrs old and used for two Ironmans and for training as well. How well do these hold up after that many years? The frame has no cracks and just like a opinion.

    Thank you

i guess if you're looking for a tri bike, it fits you, it's running well (not out of tune or worn parts) and you think the price is OK, then sure, why not.

The only thing he said was the hubs needed grease. So the fact it is 18 years old is OK

DOn't know about medium aged road bikes, but I know loads of people still riding old mtb's (my 1996 and 1989 bikes are still going fine), my mates 2003 carbon Look is still going fine.

You can never say never, you could buy it and it explodes the next day, or it lasts fine another 18 years.

The hubs actually need new bearings most likely...pretty sure they have cartridge bearings like most all modern hubs.

This is my first Tri Bike and if I do get it, it is going straight to the shop for a major tuneup.
