As has been mentioned in other threads, your biggest concern will be your salty sweat oxidizing and damaging the steel and aluminum components on the bike.
If you plan to use the bike indoors (and not just as warm ups at races), then it probably is a good idea to just get a beater bike that has a similar geometry to your carbon race bike and use that on the trainer.

Get a "trainer thong" as they are called I think. Blackburn and other companies make them for $10-15. They catch a lot of the drips.
You still have to deal with the drips on the stem/bar mount areas. Make sure you wipe these off. You could still have issues. I've replaced my stem bolts with Ti for corrosion resistance, not weight concerns.
