Unhappy Easton EC70 carbon fork problems

Hi! I just bought a brand new Easton EC70 carbon fork and i thot i had measured right but of all things i was off by 1/8 inch. So my old fork had a 1" steerer tube diameter and my new one is just over and inch. Is there anything i can do to fix this or is that just the way it has to be? Any modifications i can do??

return the fork (or sell on ebay depending on where you got it) and get a 1" fork - not interchangeable...
