Question Easton EC90 SLX vs Alpha Q GS20

Has anyone here compared or used these two forks? Looking to replace forks on a Soloist Team.

    Lighter vs Light.

That's basically it. If you don't like the feel of one or the other... you got a problem.

I think they have different axle to crown lenghts. You should measure you current fork and get the closest match.

I went from a Easton SLX to an Alpha Q GS30. The SLX was a very good fork. The GS30 which weighs 19 grams more is a much better fork. The GS30 tracks much better and feels more precise tracking in corners.

Both will work but the Alpha Q will be the best of the two.
For my next trick I will now set myself on fire!

Thanks for the information everyone, I lost my bid on eBay for the SLX, so I guess I'll purchase the Alpha Q GS20 now. Thanks for the help....

Like another poster said, you need to measure your current fork. Changing the length changes other aspects, the height of the bars and can subtly changing the designed hta.

Will an axle to crown measurement of 2mm or 3mm make a noticible difference in the overlall bike setup and handling? The stock Wolf CL fork has a 367mm length, the Alpha Q GS20 has a 369mm length.

Some may say yes but I will say no. You won't even notice the difference.

Oh, come on! When have you ever said, "No?" In fact, you used to beg people to ask just so you could say, "yes!" In fact, it was the "yes" to any question that you seemed most giddy about when you talked about the weekend nights you spent at that bar, The Leather Thong.

Fond memories. Leather pasties. The thought still makes my nipples tingle. Its really never no just not now. Nothing like a good fork.
