    ? find brake adjust screw

    Hi,
Anyone know where I could find a brake adjust screw? I lost one of mine. Or a DIY solution?
Pics of the screw and brake:

If you're not fussy about whether you get an exact match (that certainly looks like an off-brand brake), you can probably use a derailleur limit screw. If the derailleur limit screw is too long, you can file, cut, or use a bench grinder to shorten it, then by filing the end flat you'll restore the threads.

Or, take the replacement screw to a hardware store and buy a matching metric nut. Maybe buy the screw there, too. Thread it on before cutting the screw. Removing the nut after cutting will restore the threads.

Any bike shop should have a box of broken derailleurs and could give you a screw.

looks like a barrel adjuster screw. if so, you've cut it out of the two pics of the brake.

i'd go to the bike shop in town that has a bin of used brakes and a bin of screws/bolts/nuts.
Yossarian: don't worry. nothing's going to happen to you that won't happen to the rest of us.

It's not. It's the one that holds the end of the spring.
