First post! My new road bike. Thoughts?

Just picked up my new (to me) bike! I'm honestly really excited about it and will like it either way but I wanted some opinions! I paid 475 for it.

2005 Fuji newest with a after market carbon fork
    Tiagra shifters
    Shimano 105 Gear set
it also came with a computer as well, which was nice.

Im new to the vocab so don't slaughter me if I sound idiotic please!

So was it a good deal?

Also any tips for the road would be supremely appreciated. I've done a ton of reading am I'm itching to get riding already

Looks nice. Learn to do a basic pre-ride safety check-over, maintain it etc. Ride the heck out of it!

    Nice! Great deal!

Try n find a good (cheap) fit from a LBS soon as you can to avoid injuries.
At the very least, google it up and try it yourself. We don't need you giving up or not liking the bike because it fits bad.

    Ride ride ride!

Btw: idk if that's an aftermarket fork it says Fuji on it

Ah yeah I did notice that as well, the folks who sold it to me seemed pretty honest and worked with me on some stuff. Is there a way I can check? I looked for labeling and such but couldn't really find anything haha.

I'm not saying its not, when you said aftermarket I thought like Easton, enve etc.
It could be an upgraded Fuji fork, or another make with Fuji labeling.

    Either way, good buy.

    Hmmm. Fuji Newest, huh?

I don't know if you did well or not.

My Fuji Newest 3.0 has lasted only 13,000 miles so far with original drive train, brakes, and wheels

Is that some sort of optical illusion or I'm looking wrong or does that thing have a really weird seat?

Looks like a good deal....however, to truly make it a great deal you have to ride it, ride and then ride it some more. So go make it a great deal and ride...congrats you will love sport.

That'll make a good war horse, I think you got a good deal. Good frame.

Wouldn't hurt to get your LBS to give it a check over before you give 'er. As mentioned, they could do a basic fit for you as well, which is very well worth it.

(PS I say scrap the yellow tape and go white, or black...maybe get a compact road bar too).

Nice! Good Deal if you use it. Some advice: Be careful with those pedals/cage/straps. If you are cornering and your inside pedal is down (which should never be the case), you might strike the ground and take a fall.

Illusion. At first glance I thought he had a funky carrier on the back. It comes from the wine rack behind it.

If that saddle is one of these kinds with two parts it's not a normal saddle.
