    Help With Vintage Ciocc Bike

I purchased this Ciocc bike (I believe in the summer of 1982), it has all original Campagnolo parts and still has the Ambrosio decals on the wheels. Unfortunately, I let a guy who tuned up the bike a few years ago take the original saddle and he replaced the pedal straps with clip ins.

Is this a San Cristobal - if not - what model is it? What's its approximate worth and where would one sell a bike like this to someone who would appreciate it? I'd like to sell this bike for a reasonable amount and buy another one to be able to ride with my wife.

Haven't ridden much in the past 25+ years - so pardon my ignorance. Thanks for your input and advice.

    Humbly - Jim

Jim, more close up pics of the parts, also any markings on the frame. That will help us help you.

I'd turn that front wheel right way round.

The San Cristobal model name is typically on the top tube for that model.

San Cristobal or not, it's a keeper.

I had a late 80's Ciocc. While it was a fine bike for its time, SLX tubing may not have been used yet in that frame.
I can get nostalgic for a moment then, enjoy the 5+ lbs. LESS of bike weight and rusty steel stuff.
Raced, trained and crashed a couple of Italian frames. Great for what they are. Vintage? Hardly. IMO $3-400.00 tops.

I wouldn't sell either, here's why, about a year or two after you do you'll be kicking yourself for having done so. It's a keeper and it fits you, and you've had it since new, it's part of you, you have memories associated with it, keep it.
