    LeMonde Versailles or Pinarello F3.13?

I'm wondering what would be my better option. I can but the LeMonde Versailles with105 running gear for $2300 or a Pinarello F3.13 with campag veloce running gear for $2500. I am just getting in to bikes and will be using the bike for commuting/training. Maybe working towards group rides/longer stuff. Any advice on what would be the better option?

    Either or, look at

the fit/geometry. My guess is the Campy peoples will say that the Veloce is a better group and in may in fact be. But it will come down to a fit issue, and a simple spin around the parking lot will not tell you anything. See if the LBS will do two things, properly size you and allow a longer test ride on both bikes set up to your needs. Then decide which one talks to you.

Even though I ride a Lemond Tete, I think it would be very cool to have a Pinarello, either way the future is bright!

    Pinarello!

Both are nice bikes, but if they both fit, go for the Pina.
Oh, I've been in the film business for a while, but I just can't seem to get one in the can.

O-kay, who'd like a banger in the mouth? Right, I forgot, here in the States, you call it a *sausage* in the mouth.

Cheers for that. I'm leaning toward the Pinarello, I'll ride both and see how they feel. What should I be looking for when I test ride?

$2300 seems high for the Lemond. Even before the news with the Trek/Lemond breakup you could get an 08 Versailles for $1900 in Columbus Ohio. After the news they were knocking off $150 to bring it down to $1750.

Here's a couple that you might consider

Specialized Tarmac Elite Compact- mostly 105 for 2200.00.

    Trek Madone 4.5 105/Utegra for 2500.00
