    The New Aero

    No longer constrained by the UCI's 3:1 rule, frame manufacturers are reportedly starting to experiment with tube shapes and ways to advance aerodynamic gains. Here's the first example:

    That looks pretty much identical to all the other recent integrated aero road frames out there. It even says in the article you would need a set of calipers to tell the difference.

    If you want to see what is possible aerodynamically outside of UCI restrictions look at what the bike manufacturers are doing in the triathlon world with bikes like the Cervelo P5x, Tririg Omni, Diamondback Andean, Ventum One, etc.

    I've seen it and I think we will eventually see some of that trickle into the road bike market. This is just the beginning I'm sure.
