    Sycip brothers of Santa Rosa...

Anyone know of the Sycip brothers of Santa Rosa? They build bikes, here's a link to their website; http://www.sycip.com/index.html I'm looking to have them build me a steel bike. If anyone has any experience with them, some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have had Jeremy build two CX bikes for me. One was an Al geared frame and it came in at 2.6 lbs, and the other a light wt steel single speed frame built around the niner biocentric bottom bracket and it weighed 3.8 lbs. Jeremy is very friendly and will want to get your fit and needs just right. I would highly recommend them for your custom build I may even be thinking about another custom frame in a year of two. If you would like pics take a look at the website my frame is the black cx and white sscx frames. Take care and be well.

Hey everybody, thank you all very much for your input. I spoke to Jeremy over the phone and he was very patient and seem genuinely receptive about the build I have in mind. It's either a Sycip custom or a Spcialized Tarmac Expert. The Tarmac would cost much less but, I'm a steel-head for sure and I love lugs.

    Peace

After going over it in my head for a while I decided to call Sycip and left a message. After a couple of days I got a call from Cycip Brothers of Santa Rosa and spoke to Jeremy.

Jeremy was really helpful and patient with me as we discussed what I had in mind for my future road bike. So, now I have an appointment with Jeremy this Friday to get fitted and get my bike started.

I'm really motivated to get this project up and going. I'll feel better after Jeremy and I meet up this Friday and get everything started.

I decided to go with Sram Force and Mavic Ksyrium Elite's. I'm may opt to have a wheel set build with Chirs King hubs and I'm not sure of what rims and spokes to go with yet, if I go that way.

I have time to change my mind and fool around with the bike build kit. I won't be seeing the bike completed till late October~November 2010.

    Thanks everyone for chiming in...

    Peace
