    39/53 with 12-29 (EPS?)

I have a hilly race coming up and want to put on a 12-29. Has anyone done this combination on 11-speed EPS or non-electronic systems? Campy documentation says EPS can handle a 29t.

I run this crankset / cassette combo with Athena 11 (non-electric). Works just fine. In fact, I prefer it to the 50/34 12-27 combo I run on my other bike (gear spacing wise). That bike is SRAM Red 2x10.

I sometimes use 39-53 with 12-29 and works great with Athena EPS.

I run 53/39 and 12/29...mechanical Super Record 11. Works great!

    I'm using it with Chorus.

One thing to do though is to check the jockey wheel clearance in the 39:29 combo, and back out the "B" screw on the RD to provide more clearance if needed (and it probably will be).
    There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?

    One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...

Thanks for the info. It's good to know that it will work with both my mechanical and EPS bikes.

Hi Don, can you tell me why you like the 39/53 12-29 better than 34/50 12-27. I know the 16 tooth change is a large one but the spacing of the 12-27 seems better.

I have run 39/53 12-27 and 34/50 12-29 on my Record EPS no problem.
