    Ultra Torque and BB30

    I am planning to put a UT crankset in a caad 10 frame. I have heard that it isn't a good mix and that it will creak and the cups will walk out of the frame. Even with loctite.

    Should I abandon the idea and use a cannondale crank or is there some secret to the installation that will prevent such problems?

    wrong. I have a SS BB30 with UT cups for 2 years and no problems at all. 200# and 180mm cranks as well.
    There's sometimes a buggy.
    How many drivers does a buggy have?

    One.

    to expand on my rather terse post:

    the problems i've been reading about have been to do with PF30 and Campy's cups. not sure why this is so, but perhaps PF30 is a looser standard than BB30, and it's designed for a resilient insert, which is not what the Campy cups are.

    my SS is a 2010 and I went through the same internal debate - UT vs. BB30. Since I already had the UT crankset I decided to go that way first. The cups were carefully pressed in dry with a homemade setup.

    So, over more than 2 years and much riding, including 3 cycling trips to hilly eastern Cuba, later and the cups have been solid. No issues at all.
    There's sometimes a buggy.
