More red lights than the strip in downtown Fort Lauderdale!
the netzero account is linked to an anonymous e-mail server service, they claim to be out of profile space to receive ebay messages, they want the whole transaction off the sellers account, etc, etc.. classic signs of a hijacked account and fraudulent sale.
But I may be wrong.
Offer to buy it w/ a money order made out for $4000 over the asking amount and ask that they wire the excess money into a client's account (yours!) to whom you owe some money. Sweeten the deal by saying that you will buy the bike for $2000. You still won't get the bike (they don't have it) but if they fall for it, you will be $2000 dollars richer. However, something tells me they *may* be aware of such a scam having attempted to pull it off several times themselves!
the add sounds like you're gonna get fleeced. my bet is that they 'may' send you a bike but it'll be some chinese piece of metal in the shape of a bike and if you send it back per their "if you're not satisfied", you'd never hear from them again. i'd avoid this one like the plague.
I'm not a sucker and wont be sending any money but somebody else may fall for it and that's the reason for the thread, hopefully that person checks the thread
I have someone possibly trying the upsale a Wilier frame/fork from a LBS for over twice what I can get it direct from Velo who's the main importer in the USA, I'll hold back before publicly blasting their shop until it's 100% fact but stay tuned, this one is ridiculous

Boy, you'd have to be the dumbest person on this site to try such a thing. There is a word for people who take money under false pretences, and that is a thief. And to think that somebody would suggest running a scam on this forum (of all places).
