    Did You Ride Today ????

Can't believe this forum doesn't have a did you ride today thread!

43 miles, 19.0 average. Flat course for a big horse! I'm a Clydesdale.

Absolutely, First cold ride of the year @ 44 F and 15 to 20 winds. Tough going out thru the hills but the tail winds made it worth the 34 mile trip. .

Kudos to you on the cold ride.

I used to commute to work year 'round in Connecticut winters so I can appreciate cold weather, but for recreational riding, I limit myself to 1hr. at 32F minimum, or I'll stay inside. Beyond that I find it impractical and less than enjoyable.

did my usual 32-mile in-town route...

70F and no wind, doesn't get much nicer than that.

I tried, it was freezing, feet went numb, back started locking up, so I called it around 10 miles. Back to Zwift and trainer road until spring I suppose.

Took Friday and Saturday off. Was out today in mid-30s and thinking this is kind of nippy. The problem with this fall is it went from 60 to below freezing in an eye blink. No time to acclimate.

I was supposed to ride today but wussed out after Saturday's ride (OP). I can make it up during the week seeing as it doesn't get that cold here. Lately maybe 60's in the evening.

This morning was the first time I've been completely soaked from riding in the rain. Two miles into my commute my shoes were full of water. I have my doubts that my shoes, socks, leg warmers, and shorts will dry completely before I head home.

I live in the high desert and as such I very rarely see rain. When I do it's often fairly light and rather short lived. When it is serious enough I can always bug the Mrs. to give me a ride. But yesterday the wife packed up the car and the kids to head to her parents' house for Thanksgiving. Last night it started raining in earnest and is forecast to rain through the rest of today.

    *sigh* C'est la vie!

For the last 3 weeks, every day that it's been good weather, I've been busy with work or house chores, and every day I've been available, it's either rained or snowed....

didn't ride today because of the wind, over 30 mph now, and a strava rider in the area said he rode by as a tree fell just a few miles away.

but i did ride yesterday, weather was great, but for the first four hours didn't see a single rider. was only two weeks ago the roads were packed with bikes.

Another 34 miles today. Aiming for an easy ride as recup today but the headwind made it tough to hold an easy average. Not supposed to be that way after a long ride the day before!
