    Gunnar Street Dog, no decals.

Floyd got himself a new Gunnar Street Dog. He asked me to take a few glamor shots for him. You get to see them first.

Compact frame with straight fork. Metallic Green over black with just the headtube and chainstay decals. Phil, Mavic, Tompson, Sugino, Chris King, Campy.

I'm not into compact frames and straight forks but the thing looks hot.

If it rides anything like the one MarkS has now (I test rode it for about 20,000-30,000 miles for him) Floyd is going to be one happy camper.

    Great looking machine

Compact and straight fork even make it look prettier to me, though I don't have the privilege to ride one. Make my mouth watery.

Took the Dog for "walk" this weekend

For several weeks, my weekends have been full of non-cycling, and when I have ridden to work (far too infrequently), I have been riding my cyclocross bike to work because I mounted lights on it at the end of August (it's usually dark before I get home) and am too lazy to transfer them to the Street Dog. So, this weekend I decided to ride the 'Dog. I got amout 50 miles of riding on it this weekend. The riding was great. I really am inspired now to get it in shape for winter commuting. I think that I am going to get another set of lights so that I can ride it, too, to work during the darker months. And, I also want to get some fenders for it.
I try to be perfectly civil, until someone really pisses me off.

Hmmm. Nice bike, but wouldn't some fender mounts make your mouth water? Looks like they tightened up the tire clearances, though. In a few weeks I'll have the time and money to get my own back on the street.
