    Riding into rebel territory

Old Miss Rebels that is. Yesterday was the Double Decker ride and festival in Oxford, MS. The countryside around Oxford is pretty with plenty of rolling hills. The day was cloudy so it was not as nice as it could have been. It had rained most of the night before and had only quit a few hours before the ride. The hills were a good challenge for us flatlanders. Itís fun to coast downhill at 40 mph. After the ride, we had to check out the festival on the town square.

    1. Waiting for the start.
    2. Up the first hill.
    3. Cruising through the country.
    4. Some of the roads were pretty bad
    5. Some were good.

    4. Funny name for a cemetery.
    5. The roads were lined with wildflowers.

Looks like a nice ride and a great time. Thanks for sharing.

i think that I may have broken the prop on my dad's boat back in high school not too far from the sticks behind that group photo. Turns out Sardis has some <3ft spots pretty far out into the lake. oops.

That was Hurricane Landing. I've never been on Sardis that far up the lake. but there were some birds standing out in the middle of the lake.

I've always liked the look of your Colnago. The blue deep V's really set it off...beautiful bike!

Thanks. They do draw lots of comments. Velocity should give me a commission on all their colored rims that have been sold here in town.

Thanks for posting your photos. I recognise your Colnago. I was there too, riding the 50. More photos can be found at http://picasaweb.google.com/oxfordcyclingBteam.
