    31.4mm seatpost and problem solvers

Some of the older Bianchis take a 31.4mm seatpost. I can't seem to find such a thing online from any of the many vendor's I've looked at. Has anyone used a problem solvers seatpost shim to adapt a 31.4 frame to a 27.x post? Could you see the shim from the outside? Any concern that the seatpost will not be as well supported since not as much of it will be in contact with the frame?

If you Google seatpost 31.4 mm you will find a Kalloy seatpost. Okay, so it's not a Thomson, but it's a start. You can also use a shim, but try to minimise the variance between your seat tube diameter, the shim, and the seatpost. If the shim is inserted correctly you should just see the top of it around your seatpost when it's in place. They're designed that way.

Here's another. Syncros is much better.
