Al or Ti seat post with 16mm+ setback?

i am looking used for a 27.2mm dia. set back seatpost and am wondering if there is a manufacturer name i can search that would give me as good a quality as Thomson.

i have to get something and i may actually pick up a somewhat rough Thomson that is available here in town but i am wondering if there is a similarly sturdy model i can search for as well that will give me more setback.

27.2 is the most common diameter, so there is a vast array of choices in all materials. You may overly limit the choices if you add "setback" to the search string (the listing might call it offset),so search 27.2 seatpost and scroll through the pictures. You can add Ti to the description to limit the choices if you wish.

One of the nicest choices if you fined a used or NOS at a decent price is a Campy Record or Chorus Ti post (only existed for a year or two before they went carbon).

    Good luck with the search.

Solving any problem requires understanding the underlying cause

Moots and Erikson for Ti setback posts... I'm sure there are others.
