    Any advantage to handlebar/stem combo

Is there any advantage to buying a handlebar/stem combo like the one offered in the link by FSA? I tried a set with the flat top area and kinda liked it. So..I have been looking.

they're great if the combined stem length, bar reach, and the angle of the flat top of the bar/angle of the drops is exactly right for you. otherwise, it's obviously a waste of money.if you crash on one, they're pretty spendy to replace. i've never been intrigued enough to try one, and i get pretty good pricing working in the industry.

They are supposedly stiffer than a traditional separate cockpit.

I have the plasmas and love them. Makes the whole front end feel unibody-ish. (I know full well this is probably all in my head). BTW, I got the plasma replicas from alibaba.
