    Anyone else with BeBop pedals?

I have had these pedals for about 2 years and so far I love them. However I read over on mtbr.com that someone was having problems getting replacement cleats. He had tried calling and emailing and had gotten no response. I have tried also and get no response. Is this company out of business? Anyone know where to get replacement cleats?

i used to use them but now i've switched to the in my opinion much more reliable speedplays, not messengering with clipless anymore so don't need the recessed cleats. i have an extra pair of bebop cleats i'd let go for 25$ if you want them. one of my pedals is siezed and the adjustment screw is stripped, so if you want a replacement pedal (cromo model) i'd sell that to you too for a song.

otherwise you can look for local businesses that deal them, r and a in brooklyn has them, i think they're 36 a pair.

    What I've heard...

...is that Bebop is pretty much a one man operation and that he's been in poor health recently.I work for a LBS who deals in Bebop and this is the information I heard from the shop owner.I love the pedals and I hope that the business keeps going. They are a great product.I don't know who else sells them .

I am really not in the need for cleats at this time, unless I find out that they are out of business. I called their machine today and it said they are taking a summer vacation through 6/13. So I guess someone is at least over there recording updated messages on their machine.

wooden legs, how used are your cleats?

    Replacement cleats

I once got bored w/ my Speedplays and bought the stainless version. The cleat set that came with it didn't work (one cleat was bent) so I ordered a spare pair from Cambria (cambriabike.com), I also bought the pedals there. Had the new cleats within 2 days.
I didn't like the pedals and went back to the Speedplays.

Just curious...what didn't you like about them? I have never used the Speedplay pedals, but I always thought they would feel very similar to the Bebop pedals. The stainless version is what I have.
