Anyone Madone owners out there using the adapter on their workstands?
Just got one today.
i also own a clamp style repair stand with integrated pads.
My understanding by looking at it is that i simply need to rotate
my workstand's horizontal clamp 90 degrees so that the thing is clamping
downwards, (parallel to the floor) then clamp the adapter in the same direction... in other words,
just turn the clamp from vertically holding the seatpost itself, to horizontal
holding the adapter which in turn is holding the vertical seat post......!?
sorry. even i got dizzy writting that.....
there is crap instructions from bontrager, and no pics on the net...
anyone got one of these things with a bontrager pro wrench stand?
i hate experimenting with my bike when im not 100%...

You open the adapter up, clamp it around the seatcap/mast, close the adapter, secure the end of the handle with the band provided, then clamp the handle into your work station clamp

The 08's have that new special seat mast that wouldn't fit in a clamp very well, at least I wouldn't think so. I have a 07 and I just use my seat post for the clamping sufface.

i'm pretty dumb.
sorry,....
i guess there is only one logical way to do this......
i just got home with the part and figured it out...
(my pro wrench stand has an integrated pre-loading device that allows
you to mount bikes with one hand,,....
rotating the mount 90 degrees makes the device usable as a quick
hanger, but does not aid in mounting the bike to the stand, which was it's purpose......?!
this is what confused me.....)
whatever....
thanks for all of you that replied.
i'll be ok.

here you go
clamp is clamping adapter.
everything looks normal, except the bontrager hanger thing becomes disabled with a 90degree rotate

hummmm....I will have to go look at one of those at the bike shop. seems like it's looking like the (Bontrager repair stand) has a design deficiency? So by mounting with one hand you mean you can hold the bike up in the clamp and then just close the clamp lever and it exerts the correct amount of force on the item, but it doesn't work this way if you rotate the clamp angle 90 degrees?
