Best shift & brake cables for SRAM?
It's all in the title... now that Gore is gone and I'm going to recable my bike when I change frames next week, I figure I may as well replace the cables too. The new bike will have internal cable routing if that makes any difference.
* There are still Gore cables available for shifters only
* Jagwire
* Yokozuna
I'm leaning towards Yokozuna but I've heard they are finicky and difficult to get right, and I like doing these things myself. Is it worth it?
Alternate opinions?

Keeping with the crowd - other than what came in the box with the group, I've been using Racers for 7 years or so. Good stuff, and keeps getting better. Now with PTF coated cables and water-resistant booties for the RD, and rub-guard ferrules for the frame bosses. Plus, the braided casing options are purty.
A good habit is as hard to break as a bad one..

Yokozuna brake housings markedly increase the braking lever firmness. They are the only housing AFAIK that use parallel wires like "compressionless" shifting cables rather than spiral wrapped wires. The housings are quite stiff and have special ferules because they are slightly larger in diameter, but the setup works fine with my SRAM Red. As far a shifting cables/housings, I haven't seen much difference except that Gore cables got gummy and started shifting poorly much sooner than any other.
... 'cuz that's how I roll.

The Jagwire Racer kit I just installed uses the shifter style cable housing (parallel wires) for the brake housings now, but in 5mm rather than 4mm like the shifter housing. The only complaint I have about the Racer kit is the 2 ferrules (they call them POP's, Point of Power) they provide for the rear brake bosses on the frame are a stepped design and did not fit into my bosses very well, they do however fit very nicely into the Shimano 6700 brake adjusters perfectly!

I installed the Yokozuna Recation cables on my new build (couple of months old now) and LOVE them. I had Jagwire before, and liked them, but the Yokozuna are better in my opinion.
Cheers

Jagwire for me too. Kits are cheap and the stuff is good quality IMO. I also toss the POP ferrules and use regular ones instead. The POP ones don't fit SRAM brakes very well.

the Jagwire works fine, i use SRAM Pitstop cables/housing on everything i work on. SRAM spec's 1.1mm cables OEM, and the Pitstop cables are just that. regular Shimano/etc, etc are usually 1.2mm.
i work for some bike racers...
