    Big Handlebars

Is anyone using the Pro Vibe 7S bars, and how was it getting used to an oversized bar like this?

I haven't actually used them, but our Shimano rep just gave a clinic at the shop I wrench at and his personal bike had them. Just "testing" them at the clinic, I felt they would probable be nice for those of us with big hands. I presently have Easton EC90 bars and I added some dense gell padding on the tops before wrapping the bars. Pretty much the same thing.

I had them on a past bike and liked them a lot ... they were/are a nice, stiff bar. As far as the size, you don't notice it most of the time since so much time is spent on the hoods or drops.

The only time you really notice it is when you are climbing or just tooling around and using the bar tops ... which again, you don't notice it much.

Overall ... I don't have anything bad to say about them ... basically if you like the shape, buy them.

For me...riding on the tops was not good cause it was too thick. Never got used to it.

I have the 7s bar and stem and they're great. I really like the deep bend and the stiffness. My arms and fingers are freakishly long so I don't have any problem with the thickness.
