Bottom bracket on a 2005 Cannondale Ironman

Can I replace the bottom bracket and cranks with a Sram or Shimano on my older Cannondale?

Here is what I have: Cannondale Bicycle Corp. - Ironman® 2000

Your Cannondale has what is known as an "English" threaded bottom bracket shell (meaning that part of the frame where the cranks go). It is still probably the commonest situation. You can install a variety of Shimano or Sram cranksets. Personally I like the Sram GXP system.

The existing crankset and bottom bracket would need to be removed in order to do this.

It's an easy switch with the right tools and knowledge.

How many drivers does a buggy have?

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.
