    CAAD 10/campy gruppo/ DA wheels??????????

    Please excuse he dumb questions!!

I picked up a caad 10 frame and I have some Dura Ace C24 wheels...

I would love campy... from what I have read I will need an adapter for bb30 unless I get a 2014 year crankset...is this a big deal?

Will 10speed campy work with those wheels? could I have an all campy group with DA wheels and a SRAM (or other brand) cassette? I am guessing that its not that simple but unless the cassette is in a different position I'm not sure why?

I would love to get an athena or chorus group. I am also ok with 10 speed as this will be a back up bike. I may also swap rival off my cervelo but I have bought a sram red crank for the new bike and I figured if I might strecth out for a used red group I would definitely rather have campy if the price was close

    thanks in advance!

Probably the best bet for adapting Shimano/SRAM wheels for use with the Campagnolo gears, is a Wheels Manufacturing Accelerator cassette, which is basically Ultegra cassette sprockets rebuilt with new spacers. They make versions for 10s and 11s Campagnolo, in a variety of ratios. Should fit on the older HG cassette bodies, but I don't think they will go on the newly-redesigned Shimano 11s rotor.

You need a Shimano splined and Campy spaced cassette. Something like this:

It would be even easier (and future compatible) if the wheels are dished for Shimano 11 spd. Then you can just get a Campy 11 speed group and run a Shimano 11 speed cassette on the Shimano wheel.
